The holiday season is always a special time at Be Sharp Academy of the Arts, and this year’s “Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice” Holiday Concert was no exception! From the festive decorations to the incredible performances, it was an evening full of music, joy, and celebration.
Before the show started, students and their families walked down Candy Cane Lane on our “red carpet,” looking festive and excited for the evening ahead. The atmosphere was so cheerful, and it was clear that everyone was ready to get into the holiday spirit!
We kicked off the concert with a fun and energetic performance of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” by our Christmas choir. Just as the song ended, Santa himself made a surprise appearance! He greeted everyone and officially welcomed us to the show, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.
The students truly shone on stage, sharing everything from piano and violin to ukulele, guitar, drums, and vocals. We heard so many holiday classics, and it was amazing to see performers of all ages showcasing their talent and hard work. Our Christmas choir kept the holiday cheer going with their performances of “Frosty the Snowman” and “Christmas Tree Farm.” Their enthusiasm and harmonies lit up the room and had everyone tapping along.
Our teachers also stepped up to share their musical gifts. Gaby (piano) and Lydia (violin) performed a gorgeous duet of “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and Jenna played a heartfelt solo of “Away in a Manger” on the piano. We're so lucky to have such talented teachers on the Be Sharp team!
This year was also especially memorable because we had Amanda, our vocal and piano teacher who’s currently on maternity leave, join us with her beautiful baby boy. Seeing her there to support the students and share in the joy of the concert was such a treat, and we can't wait to welcome her back to lessons again in the future. Ellie and Nick’s daughter Hera also got to experience her very first Christmas concert at just shy of 4 months old!
The whole evening was filled with laughter, music, and the kind of warmth that makes the holidays so special. We’re so proud of all our students for their hard work and dedication—it showed in every single performance.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported our Be Sharp community. We’re so lucky to share these moments with you and can’t wait to see what next year brings!
Happy holidays!
Ellie
